February : The Shenandoah Valley Art Center

Harrisonburg in the Shenandoah Valley The Shenandoah Valley Art Center, during the month of February, as a tribute to art education, is exhibiting the artwork of the Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School Visual Arts Department, located in Fishersville since 2002. The school serves gifted junior and senior high school students of the Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro Public Schools.

Paws to Read – Summer Reading Continues through July

United States CongressThe Augusta County Library system is hosting a summer reading program for children ages birth to 18 now through July 31. The program includes prizes for hours read and a series of weekly programs with the theme Paws to Read. The program’s mascot is Rocket, the dog featured in the award winning and bestselling children’s books by Tad Hills.

Boenel Records recording artists, Too Human with Ellen Schwartz and Roger Bruno, will return to WTA’s Gateway on Saturday, March 15 at 8:00pm. The trio plays extensively across the United States and will share their jazz repertory at the Wayne Theatre Alliance’s Gateway at 329 West Main in Downtown Waynesboro.

Shenandoah Valley Music Festival Announces 2013 Summer Season Lineup at Orkney Springs!

Jazz : Stephanie Nakasian and Hod O’Brien

The Custin Jazz Series brings two outstanding jazz musicians to WTA’s Gateway on Saturday February 9. The 8 pm performance unites jazz singer Stephanie Nakasian with jazz pianist Hod O’ Brien in an evening of classic American jazz. The Blues, The Whole Blues and Nothin’ But The Blues!

A voice that good, they always want more! Even after their incredible opening set at the Waynesboro Chili, Blues and Brews Festival in September was completed, the crowd did not want her to stop … Erin Lunsford and the Smokey Bandits will bring that energy to their debut on Mojo Saturday Night on Saturday, November 17 at WTA’s Gateway in downtown Waynesboro. Joining them will be Emma Leigh and Buddy Thomas. The performance begins at 8 pm with the doors opening at 7:30 pm.
