Remembering Harrisonburg

harrisonburg poster This wonderful watercolor by local artist Robert Woods depicts local homes and buildings as they were in 1977. It features major landmarks like the old Court Square, Harrisonburg's Municipal Building, Wilson Hall at James Madison University, the Solarium at Eastern Mennonite University, and the original Harrisonburg High School. Capturing the romance of this rural area, Woods also included the old Pleasant Valley Train Station, the Stoneleigh Inn, the Morrison House and a quaint old country Mennonite church complete with horse-drawn buggies. As a final touch, Woods includes the American Legion War Memorial monument at the junction of Main and Liberty streets.
The limited edition print is suitable for framing, measuring 25 by 18 inches. It is printed on premium cream-coat paper and will grace any home or office with the memories of old Harrisonburg.
