First Night Advance Tickets
The First Night Harrisonburg buttons are now on sale at venues throughout the community. First Night will take place in downtown Harrisonburg on New Year’s Eve from 6:00 pm to midnight. This holiday event will include entertainment and festivities for the whole family.
Admission to all First Night venues, performances, and activities in downtown Harrisonburg requires the purchase of a First Night button. Presale buttons are $6.00 each and go on sale today, Monday, December 19, 2011. Presale buttons can be purchased at the following locations:

- Summit Community Bank
- Harrisonburg Tourism in the Hardesty-Higgins House
- Massanutten Regional Library
- Downtown Books
- Downtown Music 34
- Friendly City Food Co-op
- Glen’s Fair Price Store
- Red Front Supermarket
Buttons will also be available for $8.00 each starting at 5:00 pm on the night of the event. They will be available at the First Night Headquarters in the offices of the Ritchie Law Firm at 71 Court Square in downtown Harrisonburg.
Children ages five and under are admitted free. All button sales are final, and all attendees must wear their button on the outside of their clothing so that volunteers may provide them quick access to venues.
With children’s and teen’s activities, music performances, the release of 2012 resolution balloons, a grand finale fireworks show over Court Square, and much more, there’s sure to be something for everyone to celebrate. The evening will begin with opening ceremonies on Court Square at 6:00 pm. A variety of performances and activities will then take place at 15 locations throughout downtown:

This event is brought to the community through the dedication of local volunteers. First Night is held in more than 100 cities across the United States and is focused around celebrating community and the arts.
